How to Set Up Apex Legends Cheats: A Beginner's Walkthrough
Most first-time Apex cheat problems come from skipping one of the checks before setup, not from the cheat itself. This guide walks you from checking your PC to your first match, so you know what to expect before you buy. The exact steps and downloads for your product are in the setup guide that comes with your order. This page explains why each step is there.
Before you buy: three checks
- Status. Open the status page and make sure Apex Private shows Undetected. Apex updates often, and after a patch the cheat is tested again before it goes back online.
- Your PC. Apex Private supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 on Intel and AMD processors.
- Ban history. If this PC has been banned in Apex before, new accounts will keep getting banned no matter what you run. Fix that first with a spoofer. See Apex Legends HWID ban: how to tell and how to fix it.
Step 1: Start with a day key
A day key is the cheapest way to confirm everything works on your PC before you commit to a week or a month. Your licence key is emailed straight after payment and is also saved on the find my order page.
Step 2: Unlock your setup guide
Go to the setup guides page and enter your email and order number. You will see the steps and downloads for exactly the product you bought.
Step 3: Prepare Windows
- Antivirus. Windows Defender often quarantines cheat loaders. Your guide explains what to allow.
- Run as administrator. The loader needs admin rights.
- Overlays. Close extra overlays such as MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner if your guide asks you to.
- Launch order. Follow the order in your guide: some steps happen before Apex starts.
Step 4: Test in the Firing Range
Load the cheat and go to the Firing Range before you queue. Check that:
- the menu opens on the menu key,
- player glow and item glow show the right colours,
- the aimbot engages only on your keybind and only inside your FOV circle,
- Super Glide and Tap Strafe fire on the hotkeys you set, if you use them.
Step 5: Save a legit first config
Apex Private has a Legit / Rage aimbot mode, adjustable smoothness, FOV radius, bone choice and a recoil control system. A good first config:
| Setting | Recommended start |
|---|---|
| Aimbot mode | Legit |
| Aim bone | Chest or Closest, not Head |
| Aim FOV radius | Small |
| Smoothness | High |
| Visible check | On |
| Ignore knocked | On |
| Max distance | Around 150 m |
| Player glow | On, with different visible and invisible colours |
Use Save CFG once you are happy. For the reasoning behind each setting, read our Apex legit config guide.
Common problems and fixes
The loader closes straight away
Antivirus has almost always removed it. Download it again and follow the antivirus step in your guide.
Glow works but the aimbot does nothing
Check your aim keybind, and make sure the enemy is inside the FOV circle and visible if Visible Check is on. Turn on Draw FOV to see the circle.
It worked yesterday but not today
Apex probably updated. Check the status page and wait until it shows Undetected again before playing.
