What Does Streamproof Mean? Streamproof Cheats Explained
If you record clips, stream or share your screen on Discord, "streamproof" is one of the most important words on a cheat's product page. Here is what it means and why it matters.
What streamproof means
A streamproof cheat draws its visuals (ESP, FOV circle, menu) so that capture software does not record them. You see the overlay on your monitor, but OBS, Medal, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar and Discord screen share show only normal gameplay.
Why it matters
- Clips and highlights. One clip with a visible box around an enemy gets your account reported.
- Streaming. Viewers and other streamers watch closely.
- Discord screen share. Friends share clips you never expected to go further.
- Replays and kill cams are separate: streamproofing hides the overlay, but your aim still needs to look natural. See legit aimbot settings.
Which of our cheats are streamproof?
- R6 Vivid: streamproof on GeForce Experience, OBS, Medal and any game-capture software.
- Fortnite Private: includes a stream-proof mode.
Other products do not list streamproofing. If you plan to record, choose one of these two, or ask support before you buy.
How to test streamproofing yourself
- Start a recording in OBS or Medal.
- Turn on ESP and the FOV circle.
- Play a short round, then watch the recording.
- The overlay should be visible on your monitor but missing from the recording.
Test before streaming live, and re-test after major updates to your capture software.
Frequently asked questions
Does streamproof hide the cheat from anti-cheat?
No. Streamproofing only hides visuals from capture software. Anti-cheat detection is separate; check the status page.
Is R6 Vivid streamproof on Medal?
Yes, and on OBS, GeForce Experience and other game-capture software.
Does streamproof work with Discord screen share?
Streamproofing is designed to hide the overlay from capture tools, including screen share. Test it once before relying on it.
Can viewers still tell I am cheating?
They can if your aim looks robotic. Streamproofing hides the overlay, not your gameplay.
