Apex Legends HWID Ban: How to Tell and How to Fix It
You made a fresh EA account, logged in to Apex and got banned again, sometimes before your first match ended. That pattern usually means the ban is on your PC, not your account. This is a hardware ID (HWID) ban.
Account ban or HWID ban?
| Sign | Account ban | HWID ban |
|---|---|---|
| Old account banned | Yes | Yes |
| New account works on this PC | Yes | No, banned quickly |
| Same new account works on a friend's PC | Yes | Yes |
| Banned before doing anything | Rare | Common |
If new accounts die fast on your PC but work fine elsewhere, you are looking at a hardware ban.
Why a new account doesn't help
Apex uses Easy Anti-Cheat, which reads identifiers from your hardware such as disk serial numbers, motherboard and BIOS IDs and network adapter addresses. After a ban, those IDs are flagged. Any account that logs in from the same machine is linked back to the ban.
How a spoofer fixes it
A HWID spoofer changes the identifiers the anti-cheat reads, so your PC looks like a different machine. Our Temp HWID Spoofer:
- is one-click: it spoofs and cleans in one step,
- includes a cleaner for Apex Legends, which removes leftover traces the game uses to recognise your PC,
- has a built-in HWID checker so you can see your IDs change,
- supports Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye and Ricochet,
- works on any motherboard in UEFI or Legacy BIOS mode.
It is a temporary spoofer: you run it before you play, and your real IDs come back after a restart. Your system is never permanently changed. For the difference between temp and perm spoofers, read temp vs perm HWID spoofer.
Check your Windows version first. The spoofer supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, but not Windows 11 version 24H2. Press Win + R, type winver and press Enter to see yours.
Step by step
- Buy a spoofer key and unlock your setup guide on the guides page.
- Run the spoofer before starting Apex, every session.
- Run the cleaner for Apex.
- Use the HWID checker to confirm your IDs changed.
- Make a new EA account. Your banned account stays banned.
- If you also use a cheat, load it after spoofing. See how to set up Apex cheats.
Mistakes that get you banned again
- Logging in to your old, banned account on the spoofed PC.
- Forgetting to spoof after a restart.
- Reusing the same email, phone number or payment details as the banned account.
- Playing on a cheat that is not showing Undetected on the status page.
Frequently asked questions
How long does an Apex HWID ban last?
Treat it as permanent. It does not expire on a timer you can wait out.
Will a VPN fix an Apex HWID ban?
No. A VPN changes your IP address, not your hardware IDs.
Do I need to spoof every time?
Yes. A temp spoofer resets on restart, so run it before every session.
Can I unban my old account?
A spoofer doesn't unban accounts. It lets new accounts play on your PC.
