Apex Legends Legit Config: Aimbot, Glow and Recoil Settings That Look Human
In Apex, the people most likely to report you are the ones watching you: the squad you just wiped, and anyone spectating. A legit config is about what they see. This guide goes through each setting in Apex Private, what it does and a sensible starting value.
Aimbot
Mode: Legit, not Rage
Apex Private has two aimbot modes. Rage is fast and obvious. Legit keeps movement smooth enough to pass as a strong player. Start on Legit and stay there for any account you care about.
Smoothness
Smoothness controls how quickly your aim moves onto a target. High smoothness looks like tracking. Low smoothness looks like snapping, and snapping is what spectators clip. Start high and lower it slowly until it feels useful.
FOV radius
FOV is how far from your crosshair a target can be picked up. A small FOV means the aimbot only helps when you are already roughly on target, which is exactly how a good player looks. Turn on Draw FOV while you tune it, then turn it off.
Aim bone
Pick Chest or Closest. Head-only aim gives you a headshot rate no real player has, and that is easy to spot in a death recap.
Method: Curve or Linear
Curve moves along a slight arc, the way a hand does. Linear is a straight line. Curve looks more natural on replays.
Recoil control
Apex recoil patterns are part of why players respect a good spray. Perfectly flat spray at range is suspicious. Use recoil control to tame the pattern, not erase it.
Filters
- Visible check: On. Aiming at people behind walls is the fastest way to get reported.
- Ignore knocked: On. Locking onto knocked players wastes time and looks odd.
- Only enemies: On.
- Max distance: around 150 m. Long-range lasers stand out.
Glow (ESP)
Glow is the safest part of the cheat, because nobody else can see it. Use it to make better decisions, not to aim through walls.
- Set different colours for visible and invisible enemies, so you know at a glance who can actually see you.
- Give knocked players their own colour so you can tell who is a threat.
- Weapon glow shows what someone is holding before you take the fight.
- Item glow by rarity saves a lot of time looting. Purple and gold only is a good filter.
Movement: Super Glide and Tap Strafe
These are real movement techniques that good players do by hand. Use the hotkey versions rather than "always on", so you only trigger them when the moment makes sense.
Spectators
Turn on the spectator list. If someone is watching you, play cleaner: lower FOV, no tracking through smoke, no pre-firing corners you could not know about.

Frequently asked questions
What is the safest Apex cheat setting?
Glow (ESP) only, with the aimbot off. It changes your decisions without changing your aim.
Should I use the aimbot in ranked?
If you do, use the Legit settings above and keep the FOV small. Ranked players report more.
Does a legit config make me undetectable?
No setting can promise that. A legit config lowers the chance of being reported. Detection depends on the anti-cheat, which is why you should check the status page after every Apex update.
