Prediction
Aiming slightly ahead of a moving target so bullets with travel time land where the player will be.
In games where bullets take time to travel, aiming at a moving player means you miss behind them. Prediction calculates the target's speed and direction and aims ahead, so the shot lands where they will be.
Prediction matters most in Fortnite and Apex Legends, where many weapons have projectile travel. Fortnite Private has an advanced prediction system, and Apex Private has a prediction setting.
