Aimbot
Software that moves your aim onto enemies for you. Good aimbots are configurable so the movement looks like a real player.
An aimbot reads where enemies are and moves your crosshair onto them, usually only while you hold an aim key. On its own, a raw aimbot snaps instantly to heads, which is obvious to anyone watching. That is why every modern aimbot comes with settings: FOV limits which targets it picks up, smoothing slows the movement, bone selection chooses where it aims and a visible check stops it aiming through walls.
Aimbot vs aim assist
Aim assist is built into games for controller players and is weak by design. An aimbot is third-party software and can be much stronger, which is why the settings matter.
Where to start
Use a small FOV, high smoothing and chest or closest-bone targeting. Our legit aimbot settings guide has starting configs per game.
