Fortnite HWID Ban Fix (2026): Signs, Causes and How to Play Again
Fortnite bans are usually on your Epic account. But if every new account you make gets banned, sometimes before you leave the lobby, the ban is on your hardware. That is a HWID ban, and making more accounts will not fix it.
Signs you have a Fortnite HWID ban
- New Epic accounts are banned within minutes or hours.
- You see an Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye error on every account.
- The same accounts work fine on a friend's PC.
Why it happens
Fortnite runs both Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye. Both read hardware identifiers: disk serials, motherboard and BIOS IDs, network adapter addresses and more. When an account is banned, those IDs are recorded. New accounts on the same PC are linked to the old ban.
Fortnite also leaves traces on your system (files, registry entries and cached data) that help the game recognise the PC. That is why a spoofer for Fortnite needs a cleaner as well.
The fix: spoof and clean
Our Temp HWID Spoofer is built with Fortnite in mind:
- One-click spoof and clean.
- Includes a Fortnite cleaner to remove the traces above.
- Fortnite tournament ready.
- Built-in HWID checker so you can see the change yourself.
- Works with Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye, on any motherboard, UEFI or Legacy.
It is a temporary spoofer, so your real IDs come back after a restart and nothing is changed permanently. Supported on Windows 10 and Windows 11, except Windows 11 24H2 (check with winver).
Step by step
- Get a spoofer key. Start with a day key if you just want to test it.
- Unlock your setup guide on the guides page with your email and order number.
- Before opening Fortnite, run the spoofer and the Fortnite cleaner.
- Check your new IDs in the HWID checker.
- Create a new Epic account with a new email.
- If you use a cheat, load it after spoofing. See how to set up Fortnite cheats.
How not to get banned again
- Never log in to the banned account on the spoofed PC.
- Spoof again after every restart.
- Use a new email for the new account.
- Only play when your cheat shows Undetected on the status page.
- Keep your settings legit. See Fortnite cheats without getting banned.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play Fortnite tournaments after a HWID ban?
With a spoofer that is tournament ready, yes, on a new account. Tournaments have stricter checks, so follow every step in your guide.
Does reinstalling Windows remove a HWID ban?
No. Your hardware IDs stay the same after a reinstall.
Does a VPN help?
No. A VPN changes your IP address, not your hardware IDs.
Which cheat works with the spoofer?
Fortnite Private is our external, stream-proof and tournament-ready Fortnite cheat. Load it after you spoof.
